One aim of MMC was to introduce a standardised syllabus for the training of junior doctors. Although the idea of a formal curriculum is rarely of much
use in medicine ('learn everything you can' is a more truthful statement for most exams), it does give trainees an idea of what the basic requirements
are for those doctors at their level of training. Make sure you have a look through the official curriculum at the outset in order to get an idea of
what is expected from you.
